Mary is a General Partner for Forma Capital. With a career anchored in professional football and a lifetime passion for health and wellness, Mary is passionate about proving the Forma Capital thesis; to invest in the most influential brands shaping the global future of health and wellness.
Mary is the current Chair of the Board and Life Trustee of the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation; a $1.2 billion dollar grant making foundation place based in Western New York and Southeastern Michigan. She is also a Director of the Hall of Fame Resort and Entertainment Company (HOFV)), a long time member of the National Advisory Board for the Pro Football Hall of Fame and an investor and advisor to KB Partner; a Chicago based venture capital firm, in both Fund I and Fund II.
Previously, Mary was a key executive for Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. and his management company, Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Enterprises and held strategic and operational roles with all of his business and philanthropic interests, including the NFL’s Buffalo Bills. In addition to her team-level responsibilities, she was charged with representing Mr. Wilson at the NFL ownership level for twelve years, where she was appointed and served on the Super Bowl Advisory Committee, the International Committee, and served on the board of the NFL Foundation. During her time with Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Enterprises, Owen helped oversee the Ralph Wilson Equity Fund, a “fund of funds” venture capital firm with a focus on early stage companies in the Great Lakes region.
Mary is a graduate of the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia (COMM ‘00) , and holds a MBA From Walsh College. Mary is a Trustee for the Jefferson Trust and longstanding Regional Selection committee member for the Jefferson Scholars Foundation at The University of Virginia.
